In short, an emotive depiction of those Miss Pageant competitions that prevail in the USA, where parents dress their little girls (and boys, no doubt) up to look like princesses. It's a sad song reflecting an ever sadder part of human make-up. |

The title of this song makes its subject rather obvious, and I gained inspiration for it while watching a television programme. I've experimented quite a lot on this song with new sounds and orchestral moods. Original reviews made me experiment and explore the orchestral side of it even further, bringing the song into its current state. Probably my best production to date. |

Here I wanted to go back to my roots as it were, and write a powerful song consisting of just vocals and acoustic guitar. I worked hard on trying to convey the passion and emotion in this song, and tried to get as much dynamicism and expression in there as possible. It still needs a little work on the guitar especially, as it is a little flat, but I am very happy with the way it has turned out so far. The song is about violence in the home, but has a twist in both title and content. |

This is really my first electric guitar song and although it is presented here in its final structural form, I think it needs to be recorded again, as a lot of the playing isn't up to scratch. My recent purchase of a guitar effects pedal might well come in handy to give a different edge to this one. Drums also need tightening. |
Crocodile Tears

Originally called "The Office Outing", this was written after I went on what is to be the last office outing at the company where I work. It's a half tongue-in-cheek look at the "fun but sad" event that reveals just how fun-loving some characters certainly are not. Need to adjust the drums in this one, and work on the overall mix, but the foundations are there.

Scratch idea but could develop into a very nice acoustic-electric soft rock song. Next step is to get a good rhythm guitar track down and see where it takes us.
